January 11, 2012 marked the third annual No Pants Subway Ride, an international event in which people ride the subway (or mass transit vehicle) wearing underwear.  The event started in New York by the Improv Everywhere group, and has now spread to most major cities in the United States and beyond.  When Seattle finally got the Sound Transit Light Rail going several years ago, Emerald City Improv began the tradition of the No Pants Lightrail Ride.

The third iteration of this fun event saw almost as many photographers as participants.  Nonetheless, the participants fearlessly shed their pants and boarded the Lightrail, with many riding from downtown Seattle all the way to Sea-Tac Airport.  The reactions of public transit riders and TSA officials were priceless.  Check out a few shots in the rest of the post, with the full gallery published on Metromix Seattle.
