Using my brand new telephoto lens, I photographed my second sports event: a playoff game for the local South Sound Basketball League.  Sports photography is definitely more dynamic and fast-paced than the average concert photography setting.  The subjects move faster, it’s hard to keep track of them, and they have a much larger surface to move about.  It certainly helps to know how the game works, to anticipate where all the best shots and angles will be from.  In this case, it made the most sense to pick one side of the court and stay put.  More photos available on Flickr.
