This summer, Ballard's neighborhood gastro pub Brimmer and Heeltap unveiled a brand new outdoor patio space. With outdoor and indoor seats, the new space greatly expands the restaurant's capacity. It's an especially popular outdoor seating area in the summer. While technically a separate entity from the original space, its design aesthetic is nicely integrated with the original area that was once the home of Le Gourmand.

One of my favorite metal festivals in town is the annual Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. This week I attended for the third year since my first in 2011 and again last year.
