Say hello to Pioneer Square’s newest underground haven: The Sovereign. Located in the basement of the historic Maynard Building, this stylish cocktail bar features stylish Art Deco and Art Nouveau design touches while retaining much of the building’s old world charm, such as original tile flooring. The owners of The Sovereign also own nearby bar and restaurant The Forge Lounge. Thus, there is some overlap between the two venue menus, but The Sovereign has its own unique focus on French-American and Afro-Caribbean cocktails and food.
