Mutsuko Soma made a name for herself in the Seattle culinary scene with her handmade soba noodles. Guests would flock to her former outpost at Miyabi 45th in Wallingford just for a steaming bowl of soba. After taking some time off, Soma returns to the spotlight with her brand new restaurant, Kamonegi. Located in Fremont-Wallingford, Kamonegi is one of few restaurants in the nation with a menu focused on soba. These noodles are special, made by hand in the nihachi style. In addition to soba, seasonal tempura is another menu highlight.
I swung by Kamonegi to photograph the brand new interiors just hours before it opened to the public. Take a look inside of the restaurant below.
