You probably best know actress Molly Shannon for her iconic role as a cast member on NBC’s Saturday Night Live (SNL) in the late 90’s. Who could forget her most famous SNL character, Mary Katherine Gallagher, who even got her own spinoff movie, Superstar? Since her departure from SNL in 2001, Shannon made many television guest appearances on series such as Twin Peaks and Glee before making a rare move from comedy to drama, starring in 2007’s critically acclaimed Year of the Dog, as well as a handful of other movies including Evan Almighty and Me Earl and the Dying Girl. This year, Shannon has a number of films debuting including two that were screened at the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF): Miles and Other People. The below photos were taken at the premiere of the latter film at Seattle’s revived Egyptian Theater, featuring appearances by the film’s director, Chris Kelly, and producer Naomi Scott.
