I spent the first couple weeks of March backpacking around Thailand on a mostly-solo trip through Bangkok and Krabi. While it wasn’t my first time traveling alone or traveling through Southeast Asia, it was my first time visiting Thailand. The trip was a much needed period of relaxation, adventure, and reflection that spurred lots of interesting travel stories, including having my passport stolen in Bangkok and exploring the Shutdown Bangkok protest demonstration zone in Lumphini Park. Hop on over to my blog to check out some of the travel-related blog posts I posted such as a fun piece I did on how to communicate in a foreign country without a language book. Stay tuned–there are lots more on the way over the next few weeks!
In the meantime, check out a partial gallery of photos below, mostly food market based as that’s where I spent a lot of my free time, with more to come later this week. A fuller gallery of images from Bangkok is also available here.
