Joe Satriani is one of the most prolific rock guitarists of our time. In honor of releasing is fifteenth studio album Shockwave Supernova, Satriani embarked on a 45-date world tour dubbed “30 Years of Mind-Bending Guitar Daredevilry, ” which begun on February 25th at the Paramount Theater in Seattle. Indeed, Satriani’s very first album Not of This Earth debuted in 1986. Since then, Satriani has collaborated with a wide range of musicians and served as guitarist for a number of artists including Mick Jagger and supergroup Chickenfoot, led by Sammy Hagar. Throughout his career, Satriani has the second most Grammy Nominations (totaling 15) of any artist, despite having yet to win one.
