Alternative hip-hoppers Odd Future brought their chaotic act to Seattle for the first time ever this fall, performing before a screaming sold out audience at the Showbox. Most members wore Seattle-related T-shirts, one featuring Nirvana, and another with Sean Kemp's Sonics jersey. While nothing too traumatic happened, the notoriously crazy rappers more than lived up to the expectations of fans. Check out the published post
British indie rockers Arctic Monkeys and The Vaccines stopped by the Pacific Northwest to play a sold out show at the Showbox SoDo on August 11. American alternative rock duo Panic at the Disco brought their infectiously fun music to Seattle's Showbox SoDo in June, fresh off their newest release Vices and Virtues. Australian synthpop band Cut Copy made their way to Seattle in April, sharing tracks off their new album Zonoscope with a host of eager fans. The band's sound is highly reminiscent of Depeche Mode and Duran Duran, but is done well in a fashion that has elevated the band to international fame in the last few years.
