Ube cheesecake has been taking Seattle by storm. Its inventor is Chera Amlag, a baker who specializes in Filipino sweets in Seattle. Chera’s Hood Famous Ube Cheesecake is available at the Hood Famous Bakeshop in Ballard. Some select stores such as Uwajimaya also carry it.
