Photos: Tarsan i Jane

Tarsan i Jane is one of Seattle’s hottest new restaurants for inquisitive and adventurous eaters. Chef Perfecte Rocher and his partner Alia Zaine are at the helm of the Fremont-based pop-up restaurant that specializes in Valencian and Catalonian fare. Beyond those distinctions, patient the rest of the menu at Tarsan i Jane is completely up in the air, see limited only by seasonal ingredients and Rocher’s imagination. The only constant item on the menu is the rave-worthy Sunday night paella. Other than that, this web menu offerings are purely pre-fixe chef’s choice with optional wine pairings, and each dish is visually stunning. Sample dishes that could appear include foraged mushrooms with celery root and a soft boiled egg, blood sausage with carrot guacamole, or beet gazpacho with citrus cava foam.

Located at 4012 Leary Way Northwest. Tasting menu is available Thursday thru Saturday from 6pm to 10pm, while the paella menu is offered every Sunday from 11am to 3pm. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 206-557-7059.
