Last night, Sir Paul McCartney played the first-ever concert ever held at Seattle’s Safeco Field, home of the Mariners baseball team. The sold out show was part of McCartney’s “Out There” tour and seated approximately 45,000 fans who sang, danced, and marveled before McCartney, whose set list included many Beatles hits. Perhaps the highlight of the show was the encore which brought out the surviving members of Nirvana, Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, and Pat Smear. With McCartney, they performed “Cut Me Some Slack,” the song that Nirvana first performed with McCarney for the 12-12-12 benefit last year.
