Oh Weird Al Yankovic. Where would American pop culture get its laughs from if it weren’t for you? The famous, generation-spanning parodist brought his comedic, highly entertaining show to the Puyallup Fair in Washington last week, along with over 10 costume changes. Yankovic performed parodies of celebrities of all ranks including Michael Jackson, The Doors, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga. He ended his lengthy show with the special encore of one of his biggest hits: his Star Wars rendition of “American Pie,” entitled “The Saga Begins,” which was complete with Storm Troopers and Darth Vader invading the stage.
